KIM KARDASHIAN NAMES HER BABY NORTH WEST.

It is the news everyone has been waiting for... Kimye have decided to ditch the K rule and go for North, North West.

Kim Kardashian has named her baby daughter North West, according to reports.

Sources close to the couple confirmed the name, five days after Kimye welcomed their first child into the world.

Speculation had been rife the couple were continuing the Kardashian ‘K’ tradition with the name Kaidence Donda, in honour of Kanye's late mother.

But a source told UsWeekly that the couple decided to go for North and will call theirdaughter Nori for short.

TMZ witnessed a birth certificate with the name North West signed by Kim, 32, and Kanye, 36, at Cedars-Sinai hospital.

People magazine confirmed the news with another source close to the Kardashian family.

The name North had previously been suggested as a possibility for the child but some close to the Kardashian clan dismissed it as a joke.

Twitter exploded after the news broke with many saying the youngster had a “novelty name”.

One wrote: “Sending poor North West my attorney's number. No one should have to go through life with a novelty name, not even a Kardashian.”

Others were already making up jokes about the name, with one user writing: "So I'm assuming that North West won't be a One Direction fan?"

Another wrote: "Sooo Kanye And Kym have named there baby NORTH. North West? However it's better than John West #tuna"

Whereas another Twitter user wrote: "North West won't get bullied for her name. She's gonna go to school with celebrity kids who all have stupid names."
