Jay-Z announces surprise new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail'

The rapper's 12th record will be released on July 4.

 Rap mogul, Jay Z has announced details of his next album which will be released in less than a month.

 The album which is titled ''Magna Carta Holy Grail is Jay Z's twelfth album and a release date, July 4th has been scheduled.

A three -minute promo shows Jay Z in the studio with Pharrell Williams, Rick Rubin, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz brainstorming in the studio.

"We don't have any rules, everybody is trying to figure it out," he says in the clip, "That's why the internet is like the Wild West. The Wild Wild West. We need to write the new rules." He adds: "The album is about this duality of how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success and through failures, and remain yourself?"

Samsung has reportedly purchased one million copies of the album making it hit platinum .

Samsung galaxy users are expected to get the album 72 hours before release through a customized application.

Earlier this month, Jay Z , Justin Timberlake, Nas and Timberland were spotted working together in the studio.
